Accuro EMR specific variables in templates

I'm using accuro and I have been creating my heidi templates to copy paste into accuro until there is full integration -- I want to use "<PATAGEUNITS> <PATGENDER>" at the end of my note which pulls the pt's age and gender from the EMR chart, however your templates do not allow me to add these (even when I use "parentheses").

I’m going to copy paste the note into the emr after it generates. I currently have multiple templates for accuro to pull specific info from each patients chart into their notes.
When I’m trying to add these specific variables that pull info from the patient’s chart your template will not allow this variable.
The variables generate a blank space as soon as you enter the > on the right side of the variable or if you try to copy paste the entire variable ie. <PATGENDER> then it will just show a blank space.
These are the only variables I currently use however there is a list of variables that accuro uses that probably should be implemented as other accuro users may be using them in their templates.
