A Client file interface or way to export all session notes as pdf/.doc

Hi team,
I’d like to request a bulk export function for client session files.
Currently, files must be downloaded individually, which becomes very time-consuming when managing a large caseload. As part of my professional and compliance requirements, I need to retain copies of all session records, so this process is a regular necessity rather than a one-off task.
It would be highly beneficial to have the ability to:
- Select multiple client sessions (or all sessions for a client)
- Export them in a single action (e.g., ZIP file or batch download)
At present, the interface allows multiple selection for deletion, but not for export, so extending this functionality to include downloading would significantly improve workflow efficiency.
I imagine this would be a valuable addition for many clinicians using the platform.
Thanks for considering this request.
Kind regards,
Heidi Team
Thanks for taking the time to write this up — this is super clear, and the compliance/workflow angle makes a lot of sense.
Bulk export (e.g., select multiple sessions or all sessions for a client and download as a ZIP/batch) would be a big efficiency win, especially since multi-select already exists for deletion. I’ll share this request with the team.
A couple quick questions so we capture the right requirements:
1) Do you need the export grouped by client (one ZIP per client), or one ZIP for whatever sessions you select across clients?
2) Which formats matter most for your records: PDF, DOCX, or both?
3) Do you also need attachments included (e.g., uploaded PDFs/images), or just the generated notes/documents?
If you have an example of how you’d want the folder/file naming to look, feel free to share that too.

Hey Team Heidi,
- Ideally both options would be available:
* One ZIP containing all selected sessions across clients
* The ability to export all sessions for an individual client into a client-specific ZIP
I think flexibility here would suit a range of workflows and archival requirements.
- Both PDF and DOC formats are important. PDF is essential for compliance and record keeping, while DOC is useful when editable copies are required.
- Yes, including attachments would be very important where possible (uploaded PDFs, images, supporting documents, etc.), as these often form part of the clinical record and need to be retained alongside the generated notes.
For naming structure, it would be ideal if individual session files followed a consistent format such as:
YYYY.MM.DD_FirstName_LastName_SessionNumber
For example:
2026.05.11_John_Smith_Session1.pdf
This would make records much easier to archive, search, and audit over time.
Please let me know if this is possible and if there s trial i would be happy to provide feedback.
best
Z
