In US, the PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified) does essentially the exact same notes, reports, letters, and exams as the MD or DO Psychiatrist. The template options, and even the sign-up for this application, does not provide this option, only Psychiatric Nurse or Psychiatrist. We are not Psychiatric Nurses, those are RN's or LPN's practicing in areas of psychiatric care. We have specific education, licensing, prescribing authority, board certifications, and in some states practice independently and in other states practice with a collaborating physician who reviews about 10% of our notes (not necessarily relevant to anything in Heidi). The notes are to be signed by us, but the templates always list "Psychiatrist" or have this in the signature line. Please provide this area of practice as an option in the sign-up. The template choices will likely be the same with either the NP or MD/DO, but the signature area should autogenerate the correct title.
