Shortcut to the "Copy" button

Please consider adding a keyboard shortcut for the copy button, to quickly allow the user to copy the notes to another program. The current shortcut of "Ctrl+C" only works if the text is already selected; I am hoping for a shortcut directly to achieve the function of clicking on the "copy" button.

Thanks for flagging this — totally get how a copy button that doesn’t clearly confirm it worked could lead to the wrong note being pasted, especially when you’re moving fast.
A couple quick questions so we can share the right details with the team:
1) Where are you clicking “Copy” (which screen/output — e.g., the generated note, a document, codes, etc.)?
2) What happens after you click it today — does anything change at all (toast message, icon change), or is it completely the same?
3) Could you share a screenshot (with any patient info removed) of the button/location you mean?
We’ll pass this feedback along — clearer visual confirmation (like a color change) makes a lot of sense for safety and speed.

Hey William Bushby — thanks for posting this, super helpful. Yep I get what you mean: Ctrl+C only helps once you’ve already highlighted text, whereas a shortcut that just triggers the Copy button would be way faster. We’ll take a look at adding a dedicated keyboard shortcut for that and follow up once we’ve got a clearer path.
