Could Heidi identify the day of the week based on the date of a visit?
Marc Schlegel
Using Heidi for both in-office as well as telehealth, there is certainly different physical examination findings that would need to be presented/recorded during each appt that would require independent options for NP and f/u appts. Current 2 providers work both in-office AND telehealth and separating the differences of these visits would be easier without having to state a day of the week while already in with a patient.

Thanks for sharing this — totally get how juggling in-office vs telehealth visits makes it annoying to also have to say “it’s Monday” out loud just to steer the note.
I’ll pass this idea to the team: using the visit date to automatically infer and include the day of week (and potentially help differentiate visit types/templates).
A couple quick questions so we capture this right:
1) Where would you want the day-of-week to show up — in the note header, in the assessment/plan, or just used behind the scenes to pick the right exam/findings?
2) Is your main goal to auto-select different documentation (e.g., telehealth vs in-person PE sections), or simply to avoid having to state the day verbally?
3) Are these visits coming from an integrated schedule (e.g., Epic/Cerner/MEDITECH) or are you entering the visit date manually in Heidi?
If you can share an example of how you’d like the note to look for each visit type (even a quick snippet), that’d be really helpful.
