Dark Mode or dark mode compatible using third party app for browser. I find dark mode screens place less strain on my eyes, so I use a third party app on Chrome. However, I find that Heidi's layout and colors are not compatible with it and it turns out looking green and yellow. Would love for it to be compatible with apps like Night Eye, or, have a native dark mode available.

Chandler from Heidi
Hi all! Chandler from the Heidi Product team here.
Thank you all so much for your feedback submissions regarding Dark Mode. I'm so happy to say we've now released the first version of Dark Mode for our web and desktop applications, as a part of Heidi Labs.
To get started with Dark Mode, click on the user account menu (profile image) on the bottom left of the screen, and visit Settings > Heidi Labs. Select the toggle on this page.
Once opted-in, switch between Light, Dark, and System from the user account menu. System follows your OS preference.
As this is a beta release, some parts of the Heidi experience may need extra polish. If you have any feedback, or need any assistance getting started with Dark Mode, please feel free to reach out to me at chandler@heidihealth.com

Here’s a version that sounds like an actual person who uses the product a lot and knows what they’re talking about:
This really shouldn’t be a preference feature anymore. Dark mode is basic for modern clinical software. The iOS app already has it, which makes the lack of dark mode on the web side stand out even more, especially since most of the real documentation work happens in the browser.
The bright white interface causes eye strain and screen glare, particularly during telehealth and long charting sessions. Browser based dark mode tools aren’t a great workaround. They’re inconsistent and fall apart when you’re moving between different workstations, locations, or devices.
There’s clearly a lot of interest in this thread. A native dark mode for the web interface, ideally system aware with a manual toggle, would make a real difference in day to day usability. This isn’t about looks. It’s about making the tool easier to use for people who spend hours in it.

Please add a dark mode to the Heidi Health web interface, as the current bright UI creates noticeable screen glare during Zoom/telehealth calls and is distracting for both clinicians and patients.

Please add a dark mode or theme option to the Heidi Health web interface. Even when my system and Chrome are set to dark mode, the page remains very bright, which causes screen glare during Zoom/telehealth sessions and increases eye strain during long documentation periods. A true dark background with light text (ideally respecting system dark mode or offering a manual toggle) would greatly improve usability for clinicians, especially those working in low-light environments or on video calls.
