The quality of hospital discharge summaries is pretty hit and miss. It's generally completed by the most inexperienced member of the team and takes a while to do, so is rushed or not prioritised, and takes time away from direct inpatient care. Is there a role for Heidi, or is anything in development or use already, to produce discharge summaries quickly and concisely to facilitate a more effective discharge process?
