Document formatting: I don't need LaTeX level control but ...

... Really need the option to have some simple WYSIWYG desktop publishing/typographic tools to create more professional-looking documents. I want to be able to do this natively within the Heidi environment for situations where the content isn't being passed on for manipulation within a further word processing/EHR environment.

Thank you for posting, Nick Adams! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific formatting features are most important to you in a WYSIWYG editor?
- How do you envision integrating these tools into your current workflow within the Heidi environment?
- Are there any specific document types or templates you frequently use that would benefit from enhanced formatting options?

Tom :- text (font, font size, bold, italics) paragraph justification, headers and footers for logos and page numbering. Workflow: largely being able to print a formatted letter to put in an envelope (yes we still do this!). Specific docs: for me this is standard outpatient clinic letters and standard consultant-to-patient and consultant-to-GP correspondence. I would ideally like much more 'in system' power to for example have a more sophisticated address book and messaging options so for example to able to send letters from within system to multiple email recipients at once. However these sorts of functions I'm sure fall under the bigger banner of how far Heidi will be pushed developmentally to an all encompassing self-contained document and and care management system and not simply a (very good) content creator
