Positive language selection function, or automatic adjustment in dictation function.

With the dictation function in other windows - such as Context, it would be nice to also be able to select the dictation language - when the language of the output documents is different - Currently the dictation function only works in using this language. This action is now, of course, the most common - but in our multilingual environment it causes limitations.

Great to hear your perspective, Tomasz Markiewicz ! I have a few more questions for you:
- What languages are most commonly used in your environment that you would like the dictation feature to support?
- How important is it for the dictation feature to automatically detect the language versus manually selecting it?
- Are there specific scenarios or document types where the current language limitation is most problematic?

Thanks, Tom — happy to clarify!
- Languages most commonly used:
In my work environment the most frequent combination is Polish, English and Dutch (but also Arabic, Turkish and Persian), often within the same workflow. All languages are spoken with our patients (and transcribed)For example, a clinical note may be written in Dutch, while the correspondence or internal reasoning is in English or Dutch.
- Automatic vs manual detection:
Automatic detection would be ideal, but even a simple manual language switcher during dictation would already solve most practical issues. In a multilingual workflow it's quite common to dictate a short passage in another language without wanting to change the whole interface language.
- Where the limitation is problematic:
I am using my native language - Polish often when prompting AI - it works well - and what is more funny fact - it occurs to be most effective language for this task :D - https://www.euronews.com/next/2025/11/01/polish-to-be-the-most-effective-language-for-prompting-ai-new-study-reveals
The "context" tab is an excellent place to set the transcript in a context of situation and also is responsive to prompting - adjusting the result document which is based on a standard template. Being not able to use language is breaking slightly my workflow :)
