Heidi Remote for hands-free text entry directly into his EHR through Desktop Dictate.
Currently, the Remote does not appear in the Windows input-device list. Desktop Dictate only uses the microphone selected in Windows, while Remote content is transferred into Heidi as a saved session.
The customer also highlighted that the Remote Usage Policy describes the device as usable as a “standalone general-purpose microphone.” This wording conflicts with the currently supported workflow and caused confusion.
Please consider:
  1. Supporting the Remote as a Windows input device
  2. Allowing the Remote to work directly with the Dictate hotkey
  3. Clarifying the public policy wording while this functionality remains unavailable
