Flag Indicators

This is similar to some others I'm seeing but not quite the same! I would love to be able to "flag" a client's note when I schedule one ahead of time to remind myself that a treatment plan is coming due, they have paperwork I need to have them sign, there's a call I need to make, a scheduling item to follow up on, payment to be collected, etc.
I know having multiple flags would be very difficult but I am hoping being able to have one primary per client (and even just one icon that would indicate multiple file/client needs could be helpful?) would be amazing and hopefully not too labor intensive.
I open new sessions days or weeks before I see a client so I can edit the session day/time and make a note, but the flag would be much easier to see, read, and understand when in a hurry versus what I currently do, which is to edit the patient name and put TXP next to it.
Also, I am SO EXCITED about the context box on the patient profile now! You guys are the best!!!

hey guys - any updates on this?

Thanks for sharing this — a “flag” or “star” for notable patients would be really handy for case reports, teaching, research, and follow-ups. We’ll pass this idea on to the team.
A couple quick questions so we understand what would work best:
1) Where would you want to flag them (within a consult, on the patient/file list, or both)?
2) What would you want to do with flagged patients after (e.g., filter/search a “Flagged” view, add tags/reasons, export a list)?
3) Should flags be personal to you, or visible to your whole team?
If you have an example workflow (or a screenshot of where you’d expect the button), feel free to share — it helps a lot.

Hey Heidi
I suspect the easiest thing would be within the consult - as it would be at the end of the consult that we could flag them (like a button in the corner?). When we press the button - there can be a reason for the flag, which may have broad categories like:
- difficult (red flag)
- star (yellow flag)
- interesting case (green flag)
- custom flag colours for custom flag reasons- i.e. colours with customisable tags.
A patient can have one or multiple flags
When we do flag them, there should be a pop up box as to why. This may or may not need to be filled. However, for interesting cases, the operator can type why the case was interesting etc.
There should be a page in Heidi to load up a flagged patients, that can be filtered based on flag type.
This might be able to be done through tasks right now.
However, I find the tasks layout currently very overwhelming. There needs to be an option to bulk delete recommended tasks at the point of consult, as its a waste of time individually selecting suggested tasks to delete. If not, it just accumulates in the task section and it becomes useless (I'd love to use the tasks feature now).
