I have started to use the task list a lot more, but I would like to see a follow-up list. It is probably not an essential list for everyone, but I sometimes have the need after having completed a task to just make sure that it has happened. So with a referral I would sometimes ask reception to follow-up whether a referral was received or an appointment made with my colleague. Or I ask a colleague to provide an opinion, but sometimes don't get feedback before the next patient session. So the task is completed on my side, but follow up is actually still needed.
