We would like the API for Geni integration changed to allow the correct letter recipient to be selected when pushing a letter to Genie. Currently the the API does not add the primary recipient, and Genie does not allow the primary recipient to be added or changed after a letter has been saved to a patient record.

Just to make sure we capture this correctly for the team: you’re pushing a letter into Genie, but the API isn’t setting the
primary recipient
, and because Genie won’t let you change/add the primary recipient after saving, it creates extra rework multiple times a day.A couple quick questions to help us narrow it down:
1) When you push the letter, where should the recipient be coming from (e.g., the patient’s primary GP/referrer in Genie, a recipient selected in Heidi, or a specific field in your workflow)?
2) Is the issue happening for all patients/letters, or only certain scenarios (e.g., multiple recipients on file, specific letter templates, specific clinics/providers)?
3) If you can share one example of the “expected recipient” vs what gets set today (names removed is totally fine), that would help us validate the mapping.
We’ll share this with the integrations team — the PDF/screenshots are perfect for that.
