Include previous sessions as context by default

It takes too much time to go to context for each patient and tick to include previous sessions as context. I'd like there to be a global setting that I could toggle on to include the last x number of sessions for all patients. I already found it wastes time to have to do this for each patient session, but since an update yesterday I now have to click the calendar icon and then tick each session, it wastes even more time.

AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDE PAST SESSIONS AS CONTEXT

I want previous sessions to automatically be included as context when i create a new session for a patient. I have asked for this feature in the past but still have not seen it. This way I don't have to go in and check the box each time. If anything the most recent update has made it more tedious becuase now i have to go check individual sessions that I want to include!

Option for Heidi to use the previous note as the base for generating the new note.

Right now the only way to reference prior content is by manually pasting the previous note or parts of it into the “context” field, which defeats the purpose of using Heidi for efficiency and adds unnecessary time. Instead, there should be an option for Heidi to carry forward the previous note (or selected sections like Plan, Medications, Assessment) and then automatically modify them based on updates from the current visit. If nothing has changed, Heidi should leave the section unchanged; if there are updates, Heidi should incorporate only those changes. This avoids generating sections from scratch, maintains continuity of care, and aligns with how most EMRs allow plans, meds, and other elements to be carried forward directly. Not having this capability is a major limitation that needs to be addressed.

Additional context field to "remember common previous entries by the user"

When adding context documents, would it be possible for Heidi to remember the previous "Additional context" eg. GP letter, Last letter back to referrer, MRI report, CT report etc

Generalized Context Memory for Patients

It would be advantageous if Heidi could remember and consider generalized context or information for all my patients or specific subgroups. This feature would improve efficiency by reducing the need to repeatedly input the same information.

Automatically remember previous notes / visits in Context

context from prior notes extremely useful. I would like this to be auto added, or have a setting to "auto add all prior note context" or something like that.

It is most common that if you have selected a patient that their past history and appointments are relevant. They can be unselected when the sessions are not linked.

Automatic Prior Note Context

It would be very helpful if the copy forward prior notes context could be set to default to copy 1-3 prior notes as context for every new note of a specific type (so followup notes can default to doing this). I sometimes forget to check off prior notes, so don't have context for the first generation, wasting LLM time and my time to go back and check the boxes then hit sync.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the reply!
1) I include 3 sessions
2) I would like it applied to all patients, as long as I could go in and to context and untick it for a session if needed.
3) My preference is to have the whole session used as context.
