Frictionless integration into practice management software will reduce the mental load in the consult where there is already multiple decisions being made that are critical in buildingtrust and rapport with the client and their pet, while also making detailed observations, examinations, diagnostic and trwatment plans. additional featues such as patinet medical history summaries for quick reference, current medication lists, invoiding prompting or pre-fill.

Thanks for taking the time to share this — totally hear you on how much cognitive load there already is in a consult, and how a frictionless OPenVMS integration could help keep focus on the client/patient while still capturing great documentation.
We’ll share this with the team. A couple quick questions so we understand what “frictionless” looks like for your workflow:
1) How would you want Heidi to launch from OPenVMS (embedded in the chart vs a separate window), and what patient context should come through automatically (signalment, problem list, visit reason, etc.)?
2) For the “history summary / current meds list,” where does that data live in OPenVMS today, and what format would be most useful (short bullet summary, timeline, active meds only)?
3) When you say “invoicing prompting or pre-fill,” do you mean auto-suggesting invoice items from the plan, or pre-filling OPenVMS invoice fields directly?
If you’re able to share a screenshot (with any identifying info removed) of the OPenVMS screens you’d want Heidi to pull from / write back to, that would be really helpful too.
