Heidi could have a dedicated lapel device, which you could click to start listening, so you don't have to have your phone on the table and can easily turn it 'on' whilst driving and speaking on hands-free / taking a telephone call / starting a clinical conversation which you'll need to document.

Hey Amber Masterson, thanks for posting this — super helpful. A dedicated lapel device / one-tap “start listening” makes a lot of sense for hands-free situations (driving, phone calls, quick clinical chats). We’ll take a look at what it would take on our side; in the meantime, are you imagining a separate physical lapel mic we’d support, or more like a wearable button/remote that triggers recording on your phone?
