Option possiblity

Is there any thought of integrating Heidi into a platform for wearable devices to at least allow the device to control starting and stopping dictation actions, or creating new sessions.

Also by using the wearable you could monitor the status of your session easily. I have had many sessions stop capturing the conversation because i accidently hit pause or stop while my phone is on my pocket or case loosing all that great information.

Mostly items such apple watches, wear OS, Samsung watch, etc. I would say using the wearable and phone together, or wearable and computer together, would be needed. Options that would be nice would include the ability to use the wearable's microphone to capture the conversation, ability to start, pause, resume, stop dictation/transcribe features. Being able to change between sessions or start new sessions on the wearable by being able to scrolling up/down the scribed session titles would also be helpful.
Where I would find it helpful. I work in an ER and go room to room assessing clients before going back to a computer to document. I like the way it can store information in sessions, where I can see 4-5 people then go to the computer to fully review the information on the site or app to document. Currently I am using my phone on such a capacity, but at times it becomes bulky and an irritation to have to consistently pulling out out of my pocket or phone case to perform those activities. Not only that, but wearable devices have a long range WIFI and bluetooth capability were I would not need to keep my phone on my person to use the software. Just looking at ways to increase the usage without have to drag additional equipment with me. I would use it everday from the start of my day to my last client encounter.

Thanks for posting this, Joseph Pilarcik — really interesting idea. A couple quick questions so we can understand what you’re aiming for: what wearable are you thinking (Apple Watch / Wear OS / any specific medical wearable), and would you be using it alongside your phone or standalone in consults? Also, when in your day would you actually hit start/stop dictation or create a new session from the watch (hands busy during exam, between patients, telehealth etc), and what’s the main pain it solves for you right now? Lastly, on day one what are the must-have controls you’d want on the wearable — start, stop/pause/resume, new session, or anything else?
