Patient name instead of presenting complaint in sorted list of schedule .

I want the sorting function of my schedule to be by name -- i.e. if I use the persons full name (John Smith) then it would say J. Smith 11:45 or whatever. It's more complicated for me to search through the multiple patietns with the same presentation until I find the one I want.

- How do you currently identify patients with the same presenting complaint in your schedule?
- Would you prefer the sorting to be by first name, last name, or both?
- Is there a specific format you would like for displaying the patient names in the schedule?

I just end up clicking through them until I find correct note to put into my EMR. Ideally just first name last name. I don’t even need it ordered other than the order it goes in, but just currently when the note is completed it changes the name of the note to be a summary of the presenting complaint (for example today I had 8 that were called “dysphonia, dysphagia” because I ask about voice and swallowing complaints to a lot of patients. And when I go to move the note to my EMR if I am running behind I have to click through them all to find the right one.
