For us, patient sharing across all team members would be most helpful. When going into new session the team could just click or locate patient that’s already created by admin. Rory’s request would suffice on your end. Simpler navigation and organization across our specific orginization is my goal

Hi Quentin Palmer Rory Lattimer thanks for sharing this -- we're looking into shared visibility of patients across a team. Some questions that are useful for us:
- Would you share all patients across the team? Are there any patient profiles that would need to be restricted?
- What are the most useful identifiers or pieces of information to capture against a patient profile that can be used across a team?

Liz from Heidi On our end, we would prefer to have all patient profiles shared, and the clinicians would manage which patients they access, as is the case in our Oscar EMR. Allowing some patient profiles to be toggled as restricted could be useful, but is not a key requirement.
Allowing a patient list to be imported using a standardized csv upload would be useful as well, and a function to merge pre-existing sessions to a newly created patient profile would be a key practical enabler for us - otherwise it would be a lot of legwork to transfer and duplicate sessions from old patients to new patient, and without it, would increase the likelihood of zombie charts.
A simple patient profile would really just need first and last names, as well as sex and DOB. A "chart/demographic number" would also be useful to help link to our EMR and distinguish patients with the same name (allowing spaces or brackets in the first name field would also be helpful as we include preferred names and/or middle names to distinguish patients with the same names).
Appreciate you exploring this - it would be a significant improvement for us.

Could we please explore adding a feature that would allow persistent patient IDs between team members. While there is a new "patient" tab, for interdisciplinary teams where multiple clinicians see the same patients, persistent identifiers for patients seen by team members this would be highly useful from a clinical perspective and would help reduce administrative burden.
