PLEASE GIVE WARNING WHEN NOT TRANSCRIBING
Karolina Sztajerowska
I cant begin to count how many time a session was not fully transcribed because sometimes there was an error with the system (this is was the engineering team told me once) or that for some reason i can see the session recording but then it says "transcript too short to generate note" and its so frustrating becauseI can see that the mic is on, working, so I have no idea what happens at times, but this has made me loose so much session content and given me lots of anxiety.

Absolutely agree as I suspect Hedi is conflicting with the practice Teams program which we use for our internal and outside phone calls now. Watching the waveform is not a good way to monitor that the Hedi program is still transcribing correctly. It needs an audible beep or sound when recording but no audio received for like a minute or something as not practical to monitor the waveform when consulting a patient. How are you meant to do this when performing your examination?? Please add ASAP.

It would be great if we could see the transcription generation in real time to see the speech being actively transcribed. This would assuage any worries. Myself and several other colleagues in the past week had issues where it appeared to be recording with the clock counting the entire time but nothing was transcribed after about half an hour into the session despite the clock still going fully uninterrupted.

How long will it take before we'll be able to transcribe again?
Amanthi from Heidi
Hi everyone,
Amanthi here from the Heidi team. I'm really sorry for the issues you've been experiencing with losing your transcriptions, that's incredibly frustrating and we are keen to understand why this may be happening. To help us pinpoint exactly what's going wrong, I've sent each of you a follow-up email asking for a bit more detail on your specific experience.
While we investigate this I wanted to let you all know that we have recently launched a new floating companion window so that you can easily keep track of your transcription status as you navigate away from Heidi which may help.

solved by what Darren says. Make sure when start session clock starts counting to 0:01 before switching screens to say the EMR screen or it "does not take" . Mostly this is case. Occasionally can restart recording then stop to refresh recording or press reload browser "rotation button" and will get printout if there is something in transcript.

That happened to me several times this week while I was taking notes on the ward using my iPhone (iOS). It started working again after I reinstalled the app and restarted my phone.

often have this problem. but i have learned: always watch that the clock starts to count before changing screen to your EHR or PACS etc. its a small discipline that is required. they now seem to have a clock that pops up to show a dictation is actively happening. thats good.
