Remove or change keyboard shortcuts to change tab and session

The shortcuts you have selected for change tab and change session are key combinations which are already in use for text editing for selecting text. Can you please change them to something else such as Ctrl + PgDN/PgUp? Heidi generally needs editing and generally in sections and I am constantly finding myself accidentally changing tab and session while editing which is very frustrating

The 'change session' keyboard shortcut (CTRL-SHIFT-LEFT or RIGHT ARROW) conflicts with standard word processing shortcuts for highlighting adjacent words. When editing notes, the user frequently changes tabs by accident instead of highlighting text. Disabling or customizing this shortcut would prevent workflow interruptions.

When I am editing a note and I try to select a word using Ctrl + Shift + arrow key it tabs out of where I am writing. I would like the option to select the word using Ctrl + Shift + arrow and disable the tab switching.

I upvote too! Ctrl-shift-arrows currently causes the view to jump between tabs, which is not the expected function from every other text manipulation software I have ever used. It's frustrating to try to select larger amounts of text quickly by using ctrl-shift-arrows, and instead accidentally switching views (and totally losing your place in the note). I have stopped editing my notes in Heidi because of this - I now cut-paste the generated note into our EMR and then do the corrections in the EMR. So all my "personalizations" are now being wasted :(

Same. Totally agree with Richard. It's functioning within the text editor and is driving me crazy too

Hey Richard Ward - is this happening when you're in the text editor? The shortcuts should only function outside of the text editor - let me know please and I can raise a bug to look into this - we did release a fix on Friday I was hoping to resolve this

Hi Theo from Heidi, it happens both in and out of the text editing frame.

Theo from Heidi When will this be fixed? I note v0.3.0 of the windows app now has this known bug and meaning Heidi is unusable as a text editor.
