Stop using word "STAT" for orders unless specifically spoken.

thanks, for example when said "I want you to go get your labs done today" or "go get the xray now so we can rule out a fracture" etc it will insert STAT labs or STAT xray etc... I feel like STAT should really only be inserted in medical dictation if it is explicitly said since it carries a different level of risk regarding diagnostic workup.

Heidi Team
Thanks for flagging this — totally get how adding “STAT” when it wasn’t actually said could create risk/confusion in orders.
To help us share this with the team with the right context, could you clarify:
1) Where are you seeing “STAT” inserted (e.g., orders section, plan, referrals, forms)?
2) Is it happening consistently, or only with certain phrases (e.g., “start”, “straight”, “status”, “statin”)?
3) If you can, could you paste a short example sentence (or screenshot with any patient info removed) showing what was spoken vs what Heidi generated?
Appreciate you taking the time to call this out — we’ll pass the details along once we have a bit more context.
