The New Ask Heidi Feature - Not Very Helpful!

I’d like Heidi to return to the previous Ask Heidi option in the context section, as it worked perfectly and allowed me to complete any form using information from patient documentation. The new updated feature has become frustrating and inefficient, so I kindly request reverting to the earlier version. Thank you, from a very active Heidi user and supporter.

I agree with this - I have spent the last day trying to find out what happened to the ask Heidi feature. The new evidence feature does not allow me to do anything I could before. (For example, if a parent is in appointment with child, and I assess as well,I was able to ask Heidi to make 2 separate notes, and then I could move it into a separate tab). This doesn't work now. The new feature is very slow, and loads information that isn't useful. I also used to use ask Heidi to make a letter for insurance from my SOAP note, but this isn't working well either. I would just like the old ask Heidi back, and if there was a separate area that had a more Evidence feature if others wanted to use it, that would be fine. This new change has made things much slower and less efficient (which is not my previous experience with Heidi). Thanks

Feedback
This is the most disappointing update Heidi has released to date.
The Ask Heidi function has become extremely slow and, at times, has stopped working altogether. I have already deleted and reinstalled the desktop application, but this has not resolved the issue.
Previously, Ask Heidi was a 9/10 feature for speed and usability. After this single update, it has dropped to around 3/10. When it does work, it often produces excessive, unrealistic information that is not clinically useful and requires significant editing.
This update has materially worsened my workflow. Ask Heidi was one of the core reasons I relied on the platform, and its current performance is frustrating and inefficient.
I strongly urge the team to review this change and either revert the functionality or significantly improve speed, context recognition, and output quality.

Thank you for your feedback! We have improved the documentation assistance experience to align to the earlier implementation. We would appreciate any feedback on the new fixes.

Anya Sharma I do not notice any difference with the new fixes - I would recommend going back to the old Ask Heidi, and add another area for Evidence that someone could use if needed. The new version is very slow and not very efficient, and does not give the same responses as previous.

I second this. The previous version was very good at using context to create letters to GPs (Im a psych - medicare requirement). I would upload a previous letter or template letter, and upload previous session notes as context, and it would do a great job at summarising the assessment, formulation and interventions used. The letters Ask Heidi now generates are poor and require a lot of editing. Changes to case notes are also frustratingly slow - takes forever to spit out the output. Previously, changes were almost instantaneous

After some practise and troubleshooting, ive discovered its a significant upgrade. You can prompt the AI by saying 'use a similar style to my previous letter' etc and it does a good job. Just requires a bit of trial and error at the outset.

Hello Abdullah Hussaini! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific aspects of the previous Ask Heidi option did you find most useful?
- Can you provide examples of tasks you were able to complete with the previous version that you cannot with the new one?
- Are there any specific features or functionalities in the new version that you find particularly frustrating or inefficient?

Thank you for your quick response.
Previously, when I uploaded a document containing patient information and asked Heidi to complete a specific form, it would fill everything out with remarkable accuracy.
With the recent update, the feature now generates unnecessary information and doesn’t reliably recognize the attached document.
Since this change, this part of Ask Heidi has become the most challenging to use. Before, I could complete forms quickly and effortlessly.
I’m hopeful your team will be able to sort this out, as you always do. To be honest, Heidi has been one of the most impactful innovations of the decade—if not the century—for family physicians, lol.
