You need to allow desktop updates to actually run as updates inside the Heidi app. The current system of having to uninstall, download and install a full new application file is not user friendly, and also not possible for a lot of clinicians who use company computers that require admin level permissions to install new programs. A simple update button from within Heidi itself rather than a completely new install will make it possible for users to maintain updates and not be locked out of a product we have paid for.
