I would like to see the actual numeric date, not 2 days ago, 4 days ago, etc

Option to show full dates in session list instead of “X days ago”
M
Mikaela Arredondo
Currently, the session list shows relative dates (e.g., “Today,” “Yesterday,” “5 days ago”) for recent sessions. Full dates only appear for sessions older than 7 days. Users want the option to display exact dates for all sessions.
Customer Impact:
• Disruptive to EMR workflows where precise dates are required.
• Creates friction for users who need to quickly match Heidi session notes with EMR timelines.
• No current workaround since Memory settings only affect generated notes, not the session list.
Request:
Add a setting to allow users to choose between:
• Relative dates (current default: “Today,” “Yesterday,” “X days ago”), OR
• Exact date stamps (e.g., DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD) for all sessions.
Source Thread:
Customer asked how to change the session list format to always show exact dates. Clarified that it’s not currently possible. Customer confirmed frustration and explicitly requested this as a feature.

Heard you loud and clear. Change has been reverted. Sessions demarcated by actual date in your sidebar.

Dim-witted me have lost notes by inadvertently deleting ones I meant to keep because of this "X day ago" labeling ...
Shana
I have to pull up a calendar to see what the date was 4 days ago was every time I need to finish notes from the end of last week and it is just so pointless. Please fix!

Please add a feature of the actual date of the consultation, not how many days ago it was dictated. eg- 2 days ago, 4 days ago... etc. but the actual date of diction; 2/9/25, 13/10/24.
