Use client details provided at top of new session in the dictation to ensure name spelt correctly.

When I dictate I add the client name in the client details at the top but Heidi doesn't use this and frequently spells the client's name incorrectly (esp if an unusual name) despite it being provided. It seems to use the name provided in transcription but not dictation - I don't understand why but it would be great if this could be fixed.

Patient name spelling populates into note

The spelling of the name I enter into "add patient details" is the correct usage for each case; Heidi uses its own version of spelling in the dictation. Heidi should use the spelling I entered. Example: Spelling in Patient details = Cyndi, but Heidi enters the name in the dictation as "Cindy."

Thanks for sharing this — totally makes sense, and I can see how frustrating it’d be to have a client’s name misspelled multiple times a day, especially when you’ve already entered it at the top.
We’ll pass this on to the team: using the client details/patient identifier as the source of truth for dictation (not just the transcript) would be a really helpful improvement.
A couple quick questions so we can capture it accurately:
1) Where are you seeing the incorrect spelling — in the live dictation text, the generated note, or both?
2) Are you using cursor-based dictation / inline dictation / new tab dictation when this happens?
3) If you’re able to share a screenshot (with any sensitive info removed) showing the client details field + the misspelling, that’d help a lot.
Appreciate you taking the time to flag it.
