Voice over Internet protocol telephone call for doctors

I would like to be able to call patient's and talk to them either through my telephone or the computer and then have the patient think I am calling from the clinic. That will allow me to use my computer and work from home as well as while traveling. Also the AI can differentiate between who is talking and is saying what

Thanks for sharing this — being able to call patients from anywhere while keeping the clinic caller ID (and capturing a clean transcript) is a really useful workflow.
A couple quick questions so we can pass this to the team with the right detail:
1) Are you looking for true VoIP calling (dial from Heidi on desktop/mobile), or is it mainly that you want Heidi to capture/transcribe calls you place from your existing phone system?
2) Do you need the call to show your clinic number specifically (caller ID masking), and would you want this for both outbound and inbound calls?
3) Which setup matters most for you: computer mic/headset, mobile app, or using your regular telephone handset?
Also, on the “AI can differentiate who is talking” point — Heidi can already distinguish between multiple speakers (e.g., clinician vs patient), so if you can share an example of your ideal output (or a screenshot of how you’d want it labeled), that’d help a lot.

Hello
I would like to be able to VOIP call a patient from My computer while I’m sitting at my desktop or laptop. When I log into my EMR, I can get the telephone number. Paste it into the virtual telephone and call the patient. I would also like to have the option to use my mobile app to call a patient as well. While the call is ongoing The app can capture the transcription and send it for AI scribing.
It would be useful to be able to have a caller ID. Patients are very hesitant of answering phones does not show caller ID. I think this should be outbound call only.
For my computer, I believe it would be good to be able to use a connected headset to the computer. This allows for a quiet environment and more patient privacy.
I have been using multiple AI scribes. I prefer Heidi however I use another one quite a lot and the main reason is because it has a call feature. I’m able to call patients from the desktop or my phone. On the desktop, I can switch back to the EMR and copy relevant information into the context window while I’m talking to a patient that can be used for scribing
Since transitioning to Heidi, I have to use my desktop telephone on speaker mode when doing phone calls.
