X to close button behaviour on desktop app

There should be option for the X button in desktop app to minimize to tray rather than close. Or alternatively there needs to be a warning popup when attempting to close whilst transcribing is turned on, so as not to lose recording data when Heidi inadvertently closed.

Thanks for flagging this — totally makes sense, especially if you’re transcribing multiple times a day.
An option to have the desktop app’s X button minimize to tray (instead of closing), and/or a clear warning when transcription is active, would help prevent accidental interruptions.
A couple quick questions so we can share the most useful detail with the team:
1) Which OS are you on (Windows or macOS)?
2) When you hit X while transcribing, does it stop transcription immediately, or can you resume the same session after reopening?
3) Would you prefer the default behavior to be “minimize to tray,” or just a confirmation prompt when transcription is running?
If you can share a screenshot of the current close/minimize controls on your setup, that’d be helpful too. I’ll pass this along to the product team.
