Thanks for that context. You're right -- it looks like the text itself is being pulled from Heidi.
A workaround for this can be copying from the "Copy" button in the upper right hand corner of Heidi instead of doing Ctrl C + Ctrl V into eCW.
We'll look into this and should have a fix in place shortly. FYI, it would also be affecting ampersands (&).

Joe from Heidi I tried using the copy button in the top right but with the same effect. My workaround has been to use the desktop app for my Mac, which copies and paste normally. And you’re right & are also affected
