Desktop App Issue

Twice last week and now once yesterday and today I go to open a new tab in chrome and I get a frown face and nothing will open. This NEVER happened on my computer before I downloaded the Heidi desktop app (I have a Mac). And every time it has happened I have been using Heidi during a session. Then a few minutes after that I get a pop up that says "we detected a problem with Microsoft AutoUpdate. To correct the issue, please install the latest update by clicking the OK button below." Once I install the latest version then I have to restart my computer for everything to work normally. When this happens in the middle of a session the session will not get transcribed until I install latest version and restart computer and ask Heidi to regenerate output. This is also happening with one of my co-workers who is using the desktop app. Our other co-worker who is using the web browser version does not seem to be having these issues.
