I make calls from my phone/laptop multiple times a day. The app can grab the input from the mic when I do this on loud speaker, but when I use my headset it does not grab the output (patients voice). Can a setting be established to collect from this channel also?

Theo - I was SO excited to read your post and download the app. Hate to report it crashes every time I hit the transcribe button. (Running the Mac for Apple silicon version on a M1 MacBook Air Sequoia 15.0) Permissions for screen/audio capture are set correctly.

John Thompson Hey - sorry for the issue, we're deep diving this at the moment. Seems to be a very rare issue, one we need to investigate a little bit

Theo - let me know if you need more info. I'd installed a Mac audio loopback adapter (called Loopback, by the way) to serve the purpose of picking up the system audio + microphone audio mix. (I'd rather not uninstall it - but it's possibly causing a conflict with your new app.)

Theo - I downloaded Heidi v0.1.22 - the crash is resolved - thank you. And, the app seems to be picking up both the selected microphone and system audio. Fantastic. Look forward to testing it out more....

Theo from Heidi I'm getting a single error message (identical to those in the attached image) after installation has completed (Windows 11) then the same two messages one after the other me again after installation after hitting the Get Started button once installation has completed. I get the same errors when reopening the app: first one on opening (it says installing in background) then two more one on top of the other after entering my login email. If I hit OK on all the error messages I get in OK and the app appears to function as normal after that.

David Joyce Hey David, apologies for the issues. Very strange as we can't see any errors our end. We're adding some extra error logging to see if we can determine the root cause. When you finally get past the error messages, do your recordings work?

Theo from Heidi I have not tried recording yet. I tried de-installing the app (I had a previously installed version) but when re-installing I get the same pattern of errors. On occasion I cannot get into the app at all. The Get Started button looks active but I cannot click on it. Also, if I refresh once inside Heidi desktop (CTRL-R or F5) I get taken back to the Get Started screen.

Theo from Heidi I've just downloaded and tried to install Heidi_0.1.25_x64_en-US but it sits on the Installation screen for ever / won't install (on my Windows 11 laptop) - see attached screen snip

Theo from Heidi I've uninstalled everything, reinstalled version 0.1.24 then upgraded to 0.1.25 from inside the app (via the upgrade available button). Now, it installed and works fine although I haven't been able to test headset capture yet.

David Joyce Ahh good ok let me know if any issues with the headset capture. You can run a youtube video while recording in a test session to check that it works

Theo from Heidi the YouTube test appeared to work fine. The transcript and summary notes picked up what I was saying as well as what was going on in the YouTube virtual therapy session that was playing simultaneously. Looks promising. Great work!

Theo from Heidi I just completed my first telehealth session using the app version of Heidi and Coviu which is integrated with my Halaxy practice management software. Clearly the app 'heard' both sides of the conversation and produced accurate summary notes as one would hope so this looks good to me.

Theo from Heidi one question: the integration/widget that appears now in Halaxy uses the online browser version of Heidi and therefore would not capture sound via a telehealth session or does it, too, use the app and therefore sound capture of online sessions would work?

David Joyce: Hey David, unfortunately it won't. We can only get access to the system audio if it's a desktop application - I'll check with engineering to see if this is possible to almost link the two together though

J M Hey - just to confirm, you don't need to download anything for Heidi to access audio that is played out loud
Above, I'm referring to the desktop app's ability to capture system audio (i.e. coming out of your earphones when you're on an online call).
Browsers have limitations in that they won't let you capture the system audio without a full screen capture, which we wouldn't do and doesn't work for all browsers

It would be good if Heidi could be used for Telehealth calls. A feature where Heidi can transcribed from a call and then generate the consultation note.

Need to be able to activate Heidi to run in the background, listen in to the phone conversation and come up with a transcript.
