You should be able to transcribe and switch to straight dictation within the same note when having to document something word for word

Should be able to transcribe and or dictate within the same session as your creating the note. Currently you can only start transcribing or dictating and cannot toggle between the two

GPs using the copied transcription into Emis have realised if they do not edit and create spaces between sentences, when they attach the consultation into a referral, it combines all the individual sentences into just one paragraph with no spaces between sentences. Will Heidi correct this in the future?

So how does one initiate this?
Theo from Heidi
Cindy Blifeld: Hey - you use the dictate in Ask Heidi, the context or any note/document
Just need to click the microphone (shown in screenshot)

Excellent work developing higher function capabilities

This is a good initiative but for voice to cursor it’s got a lot of ground to make up compared to DMO. I’m sure it will come

I’m finding simple punctuation (full stop, comma) and numeral formatting is still not working for me
Theo from Heidi
Nick Adams: Hey Nick - I'd love to get some more feedback to understand what's not working for you - I'll send a follow up email

Nick Adams I'm having exactly the same issue - when i say 'full stop' or 'stop' it just writes those words rather than the punctuation

Thanks all!
Marking this as complete now but let us know any additional feedback
We've:
- Fixed the issues where punctuation wasn't being applied correctly
- Introduced voice commands for 'new line' and 'new paragraph'
- Made it so spoken numbers automatically convert into numerals (e.g. “ninety nine” → 99)
- Enabled dictation directly within Ask Heidi
We'll be releasing Voice Snippets (speaking phrases to print out larger bodies of text) soon as well

Theo from Heidi Hi guys, this functionality is not working at all for me right now - wondering if anyone else is getting an error when they try to use this? thanks

Theo from Heidi Are you guys still accepting feedabck on this or should I start a new post? I wish I could move the cursor around and type edits while the mic is on. Sometimes when Im trying to dictate brief edits into a note, it capitalizes when I don't want it to, or I'd find it easier to manually start a new line and have formatting (eg bullet) match my existing note, but I can't without going and clicking the mic off and on over again. It is not a smooth experience. Alternatively, I wouldn't have to make all of these small adjustments if the dictation feature was better at recognizing the nearby text and making the inserted dictated text fit seamlessly (e.g. knowing when to start with a space, a capital, or knowing that "new line" means I want a new bullet point with the same formatting to continue in a bulleted list)

Thanks so much for all the early feedback — really appreciate the input! Based on what we've heard, here are the improvements we're making to the feature:
Coming in the next week:
- Fix issues where punctuation isn’t being applied correctly
- Introduce voice commands for new lines and new paragraphs
- Automatically convert spoken numbers into numerals (e.g. “ninety nine” → 99)
In a follow-up release:
- Enable dictation directly within Ask Heidi
- Add more voice commands, like "delete last word" and others to streamline editing
We’ll keep you posted as these updates roll out - thanks again!

Theo from Heidi So far this function is helpful for VERY simple edits to the final note, but in addition to handling punctuation better it would help if it handled capitalization better (eg. if I dictate into the middle of a sentence it should not be capitalized). Also it is helpful to be able to highlight text and dictate over it while using the dictation function (currently cannot highlight text while mic is active)
Theo from Heidi
Jenna Rebelo: Thanks - great feedback!

Theo from Heidi I love the "smart dictation" and would be great to either be the standard or have an option for this to be dictated in a smart way so no need to state punctuation, capitals etc
Theo from Heidi
Mahi Gill: Love the feedback! We thought the same thing, coming very soon!

Theo from Heidi that's great. If those work well, I will give you more like "delete word", "delete line",Cap that ".... This will be a very interesting mix of Dragon commands. This could help the dragon user's to convert to AI.
I used this feature a bit today and so nice not having to regenerate the note just to make an addition or correct something.
