While the tasks feature is clearly popular, I'd prefer to switch it off as I don't want to use it and it's taking up screen space. Having it as an optional feature that can be toggled off would be great.

Hi Joe
We recently released a feature in your settings to control behaviour of the task panel.
Please head to your new settings >> Defaults >> Post-session defaults.
You should see two new settings: 
1. Automatically create tasks
2. Automatically open side panel
You can turn both of these to off if you no longer want to have the task autogenerate and you no longer want to have the panel open every new session.

Oh that's great! And I like that I didn't have to save the changes, that they're now auto saving!
