Dr. Mo Ismail ... here is an example of why having a trash can that automatically deletes sessions that are > 7 days old or so would be most helpful. I saw a patient yesterday, copied everything I needed from Heidi, pasted it to my EHR, and deleted the session.
Today the patient is calling back requesting a letter about said visit. Now ... since I deleted the session ... I no longer have Heidi to write the letter for me. WOULD LOVE TO SAVE THE TIME AND HAVE HEIDI WRITE THE LETTER ... but I no longer have the session :-(
If ... I had a trash can ... I could retrieve the session, have Heidi write the letter, and send it back to the trash can.

Derek R Harris Agree with Derek that a separate Trash file to store the session for the 21 days, instead of having them pile up on the active "Session" list helps to keep that cleaned up so we can see what is done for the day. Thanks for addressing this!

When attempting to delete a session, you are now confronted with a modal asking you to confirm deletion.
Do let us know how you find this. If you're still accidentally deleting sessions, we have a couple of other tricks up our sleeves.

Dr. Mo Ismail ... I'm not asking you to "secretly" store recordings.
I would like a 7 day latency where the recording is moved to a trash bin and automatically deleted after 7 days. I don't know that a few seconds would be sufficient.
Mo from Heidi
Unfortunately, for compliance reasons, we cannot secretly store your recordings. That's a big no-no. More at heidihealth.com/safety
How soon after you've deleted a session do you realise you've made an oopsie? If it's shortly afterwards, we can perhaps build in a latency that allows you to recover notes deleted for (n) seconds after the delete action is taken, before we banish it for eternity?

Mo from Heidi this sounds like a reasonable idea or even an are you sure prompt before completely deleting or a trash can that automatically deletes after a certain amount of time etc
Mo from Heidi
Frances Gouda: Sounds like a plan. I've slotted this in our backlog. Thanks Frances.

Mo from Heidi Regarding storage, so does Heidi actually store recordings or does it transcribe and keeps the text, deleting the recording on the fly?
Mo from Heidi
Thai Hong: We delete the recording on the fly, but we are in conversation with counsel on how to allow clinicians to playback audio without violating compliance standards.
