Tasks

can it somehow be exported to a reminder jobs to do app?,

As per a bug report from me this is way too sensitive - it's giving me tasks that are done already all the time. More than 50% of my tasks don't need to be there. If I could get this sorted it would be an awesome feature. If I tell the patient I'm giving them a printout it doesn't need to be a task- I'm doing it right then. I also don't need a task for organizing the patient's next appointment - I'm telling them to do that as they are about to leave. As I'm aware this may vary quite a bit across users... possible solution: is it possible for us to train Heidi and instruct on the sorts of tasks we don't want added to our list - ie custom filtering-out instructions?

Tasks has been released into prod. Give it a go!

Thanks for this feature. I'm finding it helpful in particular as a safety net to make sure I've actioned what we have discussed during the appointment.
A couple of quality of life suggestions:
- Within a patient session, it would be nice to have a "Mark all tasks as complete" button under the list of tasks on the right
- In the patient list of sessions it would be nice to have an icon to show if that session has associated incomplete tasks
Phil from Heidi
Brodie Carlon: Glad you're liking it!
Makes sense: Quality of life improvements. A couple questions:
- Out of interest how many tasks do you often get per session on average?
- What kind of tasks do you have that you often have to return back to the session to view?

Phil from Heidi At the moment it's generating about 2 to 5 tasks per session. For me they're almost all things that we have actually already done at the time - e.g. writing a referral, giving the patient a pathology request, booking a follow up appt. So I'm ticking all those off before I move on to the next session. There's only occasional tasks, like following up a specific result or calling someone, that we haven't actioned at the time so I'll leave those unticked to show up in the Tasks list.
Phil from Heidi
Brodie Carlon: Thanks Brodie. Really helpful. Bulk tasks updates and the ability to see open task count on the sessions are definitely on our radar.

Hi Team,
I think is a great feature. I think it could become infinitely more useful if the categories of tasks related to categories that you could give your templates. For example if I had a template that was categorised as a "Document" I could then click on the document button as in the example below and select an appropriate template to automatically start generating the document for completion of this task.
Phil from Heidi
Matt Croger: Thanks Matt. We're currently thinking through how we can link document tasks to your templates automatically.

HI,
Is it possible to adjust the tasks feature so that the tasks remain linked to a named patient profile after the relevant note has been deleted? I prefer to delete my notes after a short period (24-48 hours) once I have ensured they are accurately transferred into my EMR. However the tasks then show as linked to a blank patient, which then relies on my memory to remember who they are about. I create patient profiles, which are obviously retained within Heidi, so is it possible to maintain the link to the profile and display the patient name after the note is deleted? I now have to keep notes on Heidi longer than I would like to maintain an accurate task list.
Phil from Heidi
Isabelle Fallon:
Hi Isabelle - glad you're finding use in the tasks feature.
Just to confirm - you're deleting your sessions after 24-48 hours but the tasks are remaining in the master task list?
This is unusual - the tasks have been designed to also be deleted if you delete a session.
Re: keeping tasks linked to a patient profile - would love to hear more. I will email you directly.

Thanks for working on this feature, looks like it will be useful.
Just letting you know, last week it was automatically generating tasks. Today it hasn't generated any tasks automatically. Even when at the end of one transcript I explicitly suggested it add a task. I can still manually add a task by clicking the new task button.
Phil from Heidi
Brodie Carlon: Super weird. Can you sign out / sign in and potentially refresh your cache?

Phil from Heidi I tried regenerating the note and it looks like it is working now! Must have been a temporary glitch. I'll keep an eye on it. :)

Loving the task feature, however, I notice that if I am using the phone app to generate the note, no tasks are created. There is no way to view the tasks in the app, and even when viewing the notes in a browser, it says tasks are empty; is there a way to make the tasks available in the app? Or at the least, is there a way to have a "Generate Tasks' button in the browser version that reads through the transcript and/or note to then generate a task list to bridge the gap until the app can be updated with the newer features?
Phil from Heidi
Chris: Hi Chris
Glad you are loving the feature! We know it's not ideal that the tasks arent available on the mobile app. We want to keep the mobile app as focused as possible. However, as a workaround, you should be able to go back to the session on the browser and click resume then stop to reload the transcript. This should generate your tasks. Let me know if that doesn't work.
Joshua Morgan
LOVE this feature. Will there be something added where you can delegate a task to an assistant?
Phil from Heidi
Joshua Morgan: Hi Josh - thanks! On our roadmap. Not ideal as of currently, we know. We are looking at more collaborative feature for tasks and assigning tasks to assistants and (hint hint) potential Heidi itself to run automations for you. Watch this space.

Hi,
I believe the tasks are still duplicating when the note is regenerating. Know you're looking into this.
Thanks
Phil from Heidi
Richard Bosworth: Hi - this should be fixed. Thank you for letting us know!
