When you start a new session, cursor goes to patient details

When you click "New session" it would be nice for the cursor to be automatically in the patient details box so that you can just start typing the name rather than clicking New Session then patient details then Start. Even if you could then tab from the patient details to Start transcribing.

Ability to Name Patient Before Starting Recording
D
David Canes
I'm facing a challenge with the current setup where I have to start recording before I can input the patient's name. This often leads to untitled sessions which can be confusing. It would be much more efficient if I could name the patient before clicking start record, as it used to be. This change would greatly improve my workflow and the organization of my sessions.

Label name field for new session
Andrew Chanen
On the 'new session' screen where you choose the microphone and tick the consent box, could there also be a text field to enter the label (e.g., patient name) for the session?

I dont like the new update where after starting recording its not automatically in the context box. the arrow and information should not be necessary all the time - perhaps as an introduction/tutorial bit not every day all the time. I want to click transcribe and it be at the context box ready for me to add anything.

please include a field to input client info (mrn or initials) when starting the recording. maybe place the field in the window that pops up when you click start new session.

Hi David! Thanks for getting in touch.
The easiest way to achieve this is to simply exit the session settings popup and type in the patient details in the top left corner.
If you don't want to have to exit this popup everytime, you can turn it off by going in settings > session settings, and toggling off the options for 'recording settings prompt' and 'patient consent' that way when you click "new session" it will just open right into the session for you to add any patient details or additions that you like, and you can press start recording in the top right corner when you're ready to begin.
We've also added a feature where Heidi will try to name the session for you based on what happened in the session, so hopefully that will help you avoid having untitled sessions even if you forget to add the patient's name.
Hope this helps!
