Feature Requests

Request for a single, dedicated page per patient where their entire medical history is pre-populated after the first visit. This would allow clinicians to easily find previous entries and add new dictations, streamlining workflow and improving access to patient information. No further details required.

At times, I need to add a note that was missed or prepare for the next day, so it would be helpful to manually set the date for a note. This would ensure notes stay organized and appear on the appropriate date in the Sessions column, improving accuracy and workflow organization.

I would love for documents I've uploaded into context (e.g. treatment plan) to be connected to the client's future sessions when I connect the notes in Heidi. Right now, I'm having to upload the TP every time I do a new session, even though the notes are connected in Heidi

I want all of the session notes to automatically send to a default email without having to remember to send it myself

The new popup is frustrating and disrupts workflow. Please remove it. Very few users would need to link sessions, and it’s inefficient to inconvenience everyone for such a small group.

In high-volume clinical settings, even a small number of extra clicks or page loads can significantly affect efficiency, focus, and cognitive load. Each unnecessary interaction adds friction to care delivery and increases the chance of error, particularly when switching between multiple patient sessions or parallel workflows. Designing with this principle ensures features are intuitive, minimise redundant steps, and support the natural flow of clinical work. Optimising for click reduction directly improves usability, saves time, and enhances the clinician experience. Every click counts – please make this a core design mantra for all clinician-facing features.

Used to use Freedai and it has a feature where when you are doing a f/u with a known patient, it will pull the info from your last visit and give you a summary of what you did last time, what to do / check up on this visit, what meds / doses they are currently taking, what changes you made to meds last visit etc. Its a great refresher.

As my practice management software (America - Practice Better) is not integrated with Heidi I have to manually transfer the details across. It would be great to have a tick function on each patient when I have reviewed/transferred their data, this helps me keep track of what I have done and not done for each patient. This would be good even to just be able to go back and review my session notes and know what I am up to

At many appointments, I run Heidi in the background but do not always need to have a summary created. It would be helpful to be able to abort a session without it running an AI summary, to avoid wasting computing power.

Requesting a way to generate detailed time-based records directly from session transcripts. United Healthcare and similar insurers often require documentation that specifies exactly what occurred during each 15-minute billing segment (CPT-based). Suggestions: Heidi could insert timestamps into the transcript automatically. Future updates could allow grouping or summarizing transcript content by 15-minute intervals, making it easier to generate compliance-ready reports for insurance claims. This feature would be especially valuable for acupuncturists and other allied health practitioners who bill in time-based units and need structured documentation without manually editing transcripts.
