The live transcriptions can be optional. It is very distracting during consultation. I do not see the need to see the transcriptions live, it is not as if we are going to proof read transcriptions as we speak or make any corrections

Dictation and Transcription outputs the words in a live format with corresponding timestamps

Summaries and reports should be based on my notes, not the transcripts. Client agreement requires that we do not save transcripts or recordings for more than 14 days. As a result, I have to go back and delete the entire session so I'm losing the history in order to comply with client data protection agreements.

I anticipate a major source of hesitation for this technology is HIPAA laws. When you all save details such as dates of admission, surgeries, discharges, city names, or friend/patient names, this is technically HIPAA info and a hospital administrator is required to sign a BAA with you prior to providers using this tech. If you had a de-identification mode, where your front end AI edits the transcript to modify the transcript to not include HIPAA info, we won’t need a signed BAA. This would placate the vast majority of people hesitant to use it, and eliminate the road block for users like myself who cannot use this tech due to administrative hesitancy.

For telephone sessions where we drag audio into heidi (rather than transcribe from the app), can you allow us to change the default button in the top right from START TRANSCRIBING to DRAG AUDIO HERE? It would save a few clicks each time, or, even better, allow us to drag an audio file directly into the main output window to instantly start a new transcription.

I sometimes see a patient out of the rooms and forget to stop the transcription - only realising sometimes an hour or more later. Although the transcription is still fine - could you build in a visual or audio prompt after a certain time (user-defined time?) to ask if we are still recording?

is there anyway to make an alert on the tab for those of us using our desktops...i have heidi running in the back while looking at their chart so if their is something wrong during the visit i don't see it

This could be useful in cases where a consult begins in Heidi, but finishes in another location within a voice memo. For clinicians to upload remaining portion of the consult after recording has begun.

Is there a way to ensure Heidi is active after the computer goes into sleep mode?
