Feature Requests

This app is a gamechanger. Loving everything about it so far. One thing that I know that would make my experience better is integrating the iOS app with the Apple Watch for the simple task of starting a new encounter, pausing and resuming recording, and recording directly from the microphone on the apple watch. This would serve a few purposes but the most significant would be having a high-quality microphone mobile and in an optimal position at all times. As you could imagine this would also be helpful during procedures and as a physician working in a busy emergency department. Keep up the great work!!

I would like for tasks to stay for more than 30 days (possibly have a preference to choose how long I want that task there) but not automatically remove it.

It would be helpful if, during the interview, tasks were added to the task list for the patient. More than a few times I have said aloud something to the effect of "ok, you would like something for constipation; I will ask the nurse to get you the miralax that was already ordered." From my end, this is a task that needs to be addressed. If it could be added to the task list for the patient, the task list would be much more useful to me. Additionally, If context note reads something to the effect of "Cardiology consult in the morning," it would be helpful if the task list was updated to read something like "check that cardiology was consulted based on note from MM/DD/YY." This would help me to identify tasks that may be time sensitive faster if I missed them on first pass. In other words, it would make the task bar more useful if some of this work can be automated. As it stands, I rarely use tasks as the lack of automation only makes more work for me.

I LOVE the task feature. It would be even better if you could print the task list or export it to a spreadsheet, sync with a practice's EHR, or upload to Google tasks, ToDoist, or other platform. Printing would be my top choice right now though. This would make it much easier to provide to other office staff to assist in completing.

tasks could also be generated when the transcript is created externally and then uploaded or added to the context manually. The reason is that I generally use another transcription tool based on Whisper, which gives me significantly better results than Heidi’s built-in transcription. From a workflow perspective, it would be very helpful if tasks worked independently of whether the transcript was generated inside Heidi or uploaded afterwards.

Will this be available for our conmsultations

I suggest creating the ability to select multiple tasks (click, then drag to select and release if possible) and complete them in a group with 1 click instead of needing to click each task individually. Or at least the ability to select all tasks with a check box and complete or delete them all at once.

Every day junior hospital doctors spend 1-2 hours of their day updating their ward round lists. They come to work in the morning, add the new patients to their patient list that have been admitted overnight, update the test, issues and plans for each patient (sometimes up to 40 patients). They then rush around to see all the patients, do the jobs, update the families before sitting down to update the same list again. This often keeps them late on their shift as it needs to be done before the next morning or else the doctor will need to come in even earlier the next day and this cycle of over-working continues. The administrative burden is huge, this is one of the reasons I burnt out in my hospital work when I was younger and needed to take time off. If Heidi could help clinicians with this issue it would become even more of a game changer! This is the case for most hospitals across Australia - sheets and sheets of patient information that has been edited and updated for years and years.
