I am a new user to Heidi and really impressed with the AI features. I am a specialist orthopaedic surgeon, and many of the referrals I see are from other surgeons and colleagues seeking an opinion about a complex patient. In addition to the standard new patient letter, an additional dictated 'clinical impression' section at the end of the letter would be a valuable addition. This would be a dictated passage, directly to the referrer, in the first person, stating your views on the patient and their clinical problem. In other words, Heidi transcription is ideal for the patient history and clinical examination (if the patient does not mind you stating medical terms as you examine them). The real lowdown on the patient and their problem though is best as a separate paragraph spoken verbatim at the end of this transcribed letter to the referrer (particularly with complex patients). I wonder if Heidi could add this option to templates, to allow integrated dictation within a transcribed letter in the same session (rather than as a separate session, then cut and pasted).

A competitor, Deepscribe, has a voice activated macros feature. Heidi's snippet functionality can serve a similar purpose if it is coded for voice activation/actuation. Eg: in session, saying the words "excellent! all systems normal!" would prompt expansion of the /normROS snippet. This elevates the snippets functionality from boilerplate text (for which other, more robust programs exist--I use Typinator) to an AI Scribe function, and I imagine it would not be prohibitive to code.
